WE'RE THINKING PINK!
|
Dear Readers,
First, I must extend our heartfelt thanks to the 144 women who joined us in Ocean City for a special screening of "Sex and the City." It was great to be able to share that fun film with our readers and to have Gilda's Club benefit from your support. As we go to press, our next event, a benefit for the Humane Society, will be happening and many of our readers will be sharing snacks and fun with their dogs!
Next, a word about our cover—I confess I love Peter Max and his artwork—I'm planning to attend his show this year-unfortunately I doubt I'll be able to afford to buy one of his original works—fortunately it doesn't cost anything to go to Stone Harbor's Ocean Galler y and look to my heart's content! Don't miss it; it's a fun way to spend a summer afternoon or evening.
Also in this issue, we bring you the first of our Cerise Pink Pages, a new way to bring information directly to you from interesting businesses and ser vice providers in our area. We hope you'll find these pages valuable and call or visit our contributors—be sure to tell them you read about them in the Pink Pages. These pages are a welcome new addition to our regular stories and features for women.
I am also putting out a request to all of you—Cerise is always looking for interesting stories and photos about women of all ages, and their lives—how they met their spouses, how they cope with challenges, raise their children, spend time with friends—if you think it's interesting, chances are other women will too. Please send your stories or story ideas to me at cerise@cerisenews.com. If you are reading Cerise, and would like to get our weekly e-mail blast as well, send your e-mail address to me at the above address. There's always something happening and Cerise blast readers are in the know. Enjoy July and don't get a sunburn!
